Scientific Imaging Series Product Overview
ToupTek's Scientific Imaging Series combines high-sensitivity sCMOS cameras with broad-spectrum Short-Wave Infrared (SWIR) cameras, covering an ultra-wide spectral range of 200 nm – 1700 nm. This series provides professional-grade imaging solutions with high signal-to-noise ratio, wide dynamic range, and fast acquisition capabilities for low-light research, semiconductor inspection, astronomical observation, and high-speed industrial vision applications.
The sCMOS modules focus on high quantum efficiency and deep cooling from ultraviolet-visible to near-infrared spectra, while the SWIR modules utilize InGaAs detectors to achieve short-wave infrared response starting from 400/900 nm, providing cost and efficiency advantages for multi-spectral detection with "dual-band in one system" capability.

Core Features
Ultra-High Quantum Efficiency & Wide Spectrum
Back-illuminated GSENSE2020/4040 sCMOS sensor with QE up to 95% @ 560 nm, maintaining high sensitivity across 200–1100 nm range. Sony SenSWIR® or China-made InGaAs detectors covering 400/900 – 1700 nm with QE ≥ 75% @ 1350 nm, capable of simultaneously capturing visible light and SWIR information.
Deep TEC Cooling with Extremely Low Dark Noise
Dual-stage TEC structure achieves typical −40 °C temperature differential, with long-exposure dark current as low as 0.45 e⁻/px/s (sCMOS). All SWIR series support ≤ 40 °C cooling differential, ensuring low-light imaging quality.
Wide Dynamic Range + Low Read Noise
sCMOS HDR 11HL mode with dynamic range of 92 dB and minimum read noise of 0.97 e⁻, balancing dim and bright detail capture. SWIR cameras with typical dynamic range of 70 dB, meeting high-contrast detection requirements for semiconductor, photovoltaic, and glass defect applications.
High-Speed Acquisition & Rich Interfaces
sCMOS: Up to 108 fps @ 2048×2048 (USB3/CameraLink). SWIR: CameraLink version 1000 fps @ 640×512, 10 GigE version 165 fps @ 2560×2048.
High Resolution & Large Sensor Format
Coverage from 0.33 MP (640×512) to 16 MP (4096×4096) with multiple pixel sizes. 3.45 µm, 5 µm, 9 µm, 15 µm pixels, balancing weak signal capture with large field-of-view scanning.
Global Shutter / Rolling + Global Reset
All SWIR series feature global shutter. sCMOS supports rolling or global reset modes for more flexible synchronization triggering.
Built-in DDR3 Cache & Programmable IO
512 MB–1 GB on-chip cache ensures stable full-frame high-speed transmission; 1× isolated input/output + 2× GPIO for convenient external synchronization and system integration
Cross-Platform SDK & Vision Software Compatibility
Provides C/C++/C#/Python SDK with seamless integration to ToupView, Halcon, VisionPro, LabVIEW, MATLAB and other mainstream software platforms
Applications
Leveraging four core capabilities of "High QE + Wide Spectrum + Deep Cooling +
High-Speed Interface",
ToupTek's Scientific Imaging Series provides research and industrial customers with
