April 4th to 5th 2025, marked a pivotal moment for ToupTek Astro as the company participated for the first time in the 34th Annual Northeast Astronomy Forum and Space Expo (NEAF), held at Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York. This prestigious event, being a cornerstone of the astronomy and astrophotography community, provided the perfect stage for ToupTek Astro to introduce its high-performance imaging solutions to a global audience of experts, hobbyists, and space enthusiasts.
Partnering with iOptron and Airy Disk, ToupTek Astro seized the opportunity to engage directly with astrophotographers, demonstrating its commitment to innovation, precision, and user-centric design. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with visitors expressing keen interest in its premium cameras, telescopes, and accessories.
A Showcase of Excellence
ToupTek Astro attended the 34th NEAF Expo with its newest product information of StellaVita, HOPE series telescopes and GPM174M guide camera. Also, ToupTek showcased its prestigious astrophotography cameras and accessories, including: SkyEye series deep-sky cooled cameras, ATR series deep-sky cooled cameras, G3M series planetary/guide cameras, astronomical filters, off-axis guiders (OAG), astro filter wheels (AFW), guide scope and astro automatic focusers (AAF).
Spotlight on the Upcoming New Releases
- StellaVita
Officially launched in March 2025, this smart astronomy wireless controller, StellaVita, has gained huge attention among the overseas astrophotography community. To provide astronomy enthusiasts with a simpler imaging experience, StellaVita offers an open compatibility ecosystem, supporting multiple brands of astrophotography equipment and giving users unlimited freedom in their astrophotography endeavors.
- HOPE Series Telescope
At the heart of ToupTek Astro's display were the ToupTek Astro HOPE series telescopes. HOPE series is a self-developed apochromatic telescope, containing two variants:
①：60mm effective aperture, 280mm focal length and f/4.7 focal ratio.
②：80mm effective aperture, 560mm focal length and f/7 focal ratio.
The HOPE Series represents ToupTek Astro's first foray into telescope manufacturing and is a significant step for ToupTek Astro to provide more complete imaging solutions for astrophotography lovers. - GPM174M Guide Camera
GPM174M guide camera features the Sony IMX249 mono sensor with a resolution of 1920*1200, achieving higher sensitivity with a high QE of over 89%. The existing GPM series cameras include: GPM462M, GPCMOS02000KPA, GPCMOS02000KMA, and GPCMOS1200KPF.
One of the standout features of the GPM series, including the GPM174M, is the built-in frame buffer function. This function enables more stable data transmission, effectively reducing the amp-glow. Amp-glow is a type of noise that can degrade the quality of images, especially in low-light conditions. This new GPM174M guide camera will be officially launched in ToupTek Astro's online store by the end of April 2025.
