Introduction

TZM0756 Product Introduction

TZM0756 series MZO (Monocular Zoom Objective, single-tube continuously variable magnification microscope objective) adopts a modular design concept with dual-end parallel light paths, offering excellent optical performance and high customizability. It is specially designed for applications in machine vision inspection, industrial inspection, scientific research, and education.

The TZM0756 series MZO consists of three basic modules: the continuously variable magnification main body (which already includes the auxiliary lens and TV lens), a mounting adapter, and optional modules. In addition to the continuously variable main body, users can choose the other modules according to their application needs. The TZM0756 series MZO, when paired with a camera module (optional), can form a digital continuously variable magnification microscope system.

The standard configuration of the TZM0756 series MZO is TZM0756-W100-TV100-A50, with a magnification range of 0.7X to 4.5X and a maximum magnification ratio of 6.5X. The main features of the TZM0756 series MZO are as follows:

  • The standard model TZM0756-W100-TV100-A50 has a magnification range of 0.7X to 5.6X.
  • High Magnification Ratio: 8X
  • High NA: 0.018-0.092 (using a 1X auxiliary lens)
  • High Resolution: 18.6μm-3.65μm (using a 1X auxiliary lens)

TZM0756 Series MZO Naming Rules

The TZM0756 series MZO adopts a finite conjugate optical system design, and the overall modular structure is shown in the figure on the left. The TZM0756 series MZO consists of five basic modules: the continuously variable main body, the auxiliary lens, the TV lens, the mounting adapter, and the optional modules.

The final naming method for the TZM0756 series MZO is to separate the names of each module with a hyphen "-", forming a comprehensive name that clearly distinguishes the MZO’s performance parameters. For example: TZM0756aa-Wbbb-TVccc-Add

For example, if the main body module selected is TZM0756TD, paired with a 1.00X auxiliary lens W100, a 0.50X TV lens TV050, and a 50mm mounting adapter A50, then the continuously variable microscope objective is named: TZM0756TD-W100-TV050-A50

Currently available TZM0756aa modules: TZM0756, TZM0756T, TZM0756D, TZM0756TD;

  • Currently available Wbbb modules: W100, W050, W075, W150, and W200;
  • Currently available TVccc modules: TV100, TV050, TV075, TV150, and TV200;
  • Currently available Add modules: A50 and A45;
  • Auxiliary lenses, TV lenses, and mounting adapters with other magnifications can be customized according to requirements.
  • The optional modules mainly include ring light modules, available in both standard ring light and polarizing ring light versions, as well as a coaxial illumination module (consisting of a coaxial illuminator and LED point light source).

Purchase and Configuration

The parameters for different configurations of the TZM0460 series MZO are listed in the table below. You can determine your desired combination by following these steps:

  • Determine the possible 1) FOV and 2) object working distance, and select the auxiliary lens accordingly
  • If using a 705 infinity-corrected objective, choose the adapter from M26x0.705 to M20x0.705
  • Based on 1) sensor size (1/x inch), 2) imaging diagonal, 3) imaging width, and 4) imaging height, determine the camera’s imaging circle and select the TV lens
  • Select a 45mm or 50mm mounting adapter
  • Select an LED ring light module for reflected illumination
  • If necessary, choose a coaxial illumination module
  • If necessary, choose a transmitted light illumination module
  • Select a compatible camera

Our company offers a variety of microscope cameras. You can refer to the Camera Selection Tool to review the specifications and choose the appropriate camera from the list.

The continuous zoom body is the main component of the TZM0756 series MZO. Its code is TZM0756aa; where “TZM0756” indicates the regular continuous zoom body, “TZM0756T” is the model with adjustable back focus, “TZM0756D” is the fixed magnification model, and “TZM0756TD” is the model with both adjustable back focus and fixed magnification. The detailed description is as follows:

The auxiliary lens is a replaceable component that directly attaches to the bottom of the continuous zoom body via a threaded connection. Its code is Wbbb, where “bbb” indicates the magnification of the auxiliary lens. It is mainly used to change the overall magnification of the TZM0756 series MZO. Different auxiliary lenses offer different working distances. For example, compared to an auxiliary lens W100 with 1.00X magnification and an 80mm working distance, a 0.50X auxiliary lens W050 will halve the overall magnification of the TZM0756 series MZO and extend the working distance to approximately 160mm, and so on. The optical parameters of the auxiliary lens are shown in the table below:

* The same auxiliary lens, when paired with different TV lenses, only has a minor impact on the field of view, as it is meant to adapt to image sensors of different sizes.

Module 3 is the TV lens, which attaches to the top of the continuous zoom body via a threaded connection. Its code is TVccc, where “ccc” represents the magnification of the TV lens. It is mainly used to match image sensors of different sizes. For example, compared to a TV lens TV100 with 1.00X magnification, a 0.50X TV lens TV050 will match an image sensor that is half the size, while the field of view remains essentially unaffected. The specifications for the TV lens are shown in the table below:

TV075

TV100

2/3"

* A TV lens with higher magnification can also be paired with a smaller image sensor; however, this will reduce the overall field of view of the MZO.

Module 4 is the mount adapter, which is used to install mounts of different diameters by fitting around the continuous zoom body. Its code is Add, where “dd” indicates the mount diameter. It is available in both 45mm and 50mm versions. The installation method of the mount adapter is shown in the image below.

The optional modules mainly include ring light modules (both standard and polarized ring lights) and a coaxial illumination module (consisting of a coaxial illuminator and LED point light source). The details of the optional modules are shown in the table below.
