UCAM Series

Product Introduction

The UCAM series cameras only require a single USB Type-A to Type-C cable to connect directly to the USB Type-A port of a computer, or a USB Type-C to Type-C cable to connect to the USB Type-C port of an Android mobile device, enabling video and image capture for stereomicroscopes and biological microscopes.

Product Features

  • Sony STARVIS back-illuminated CMOS sensor, or OMNIVISION CMOS sensor
  • Provide rich ISP processing functions, 3DNR, saturation and ROI white balance
  • ToupView/ToupLite software for PC, fully applicable for biological and stereological observations
  • Android app for smartphones or tablets
  • Provide the XCamLab mobile app for Android, which can be used in standalone mode or for wireless interactive microscopy teaching scenarios

Detailed Introduction

Single-cable connection

A USB Type-A to Type-C cable connects the camera directly to a computer. A USB Type-C to Type-C cable connects it to an Android mobile device. The same connection supplies power and transfers MJPEG live images.

Image processing

The ISP provides automatic or manual exposure and gain, automatic, manual or ROI white balance, hue, saturation, contrast, brightness, gamma, 3D noise reduction, sharpening, 50/60 Hz anti-flicker, mirror/flip and color-to-gray processing.

Computer and Android software

ToupView is available for Windows 8, 10 and 11. ToupLite is available for supported Linux systems. XCamLab supports Android 13 or later for standalone use and wireless interactive microscopy teaching.

Computer operating systems

ToupView supports Windows 8/10/11 (32/64-bit). ToupLite supports Linux distributions with kernel 2.6.27 or later.
