UHCCD05100KPA Microscopy Camera/Microscope Camera
Product Introduction
The UHCCD series features C-mount USB2.0 microscopy CCD cameras utilizing Sony ultra-high performance HAD (Super/HAD) CCD sensors (model-dependent). The CCD global exposure (Global Exposure) effectively avoids rolling shutter distortion, making them suitable for capturing fast-moving targets. Meanwhile, the HAD structure reduces surface dark current and enhances sensitivity, enabling good imaging quality in low-light and fluorescence scenarios. The cameras employ FPGA precision timing control supporting long exposures up to approximately 240 s, facilitating capture of extremely weak signals. Stable transmission is achieved through USB2.0 (480 Mbit/s) connectivity, with included ToupView software and cross-platform SDK support (Windows/Linux/macOS/Android) for convenient system integration and secondary development.

Advantages of Sony Super HAD CCD Technology
UHCCD cameras employ Sony Super HAD CCD sensors featuring dedicated N-substrate, P-type body, and hole accumulation layers. This structure dramatically reduces dark current, improves quantum efficiency, and enhances low-light performance. Compared with conventional CCDs, Super HAD sensors maintain high resolution while delivering the sensitivity required for fluorescence microscopy, dark-field imaging, and other weak-signal scenarios.
FPGA-Based Precision Timing Control
A high-performance FPGA manages exposure timing and sensor readout. The system supports exposures up to 240 seconds, ensuring sufficient photon accumulation under extremely low illumination. Accurate clock control maintains image stability during long integration, suppressing thermal noise and drift—ideal for weak fluorescence detection, astronomy, and analytical imaging. ROI capture and pixel binning offer further flexibility for speed and sensitivity balancing.
Ultra-Fine Proprietary Color Processing
ToupTek’s Ultra-Fine color engine delivers precise color reproduction and enhanced detail through microscope-optimized algorithms. Automatic white balance, color correction, and gamma adjustments ensure accurate sample presentation. Combined with selectable 8-bit or 12-bit output, the system provides the fidelity required for both routine observation and professional analysis.
Comprehensive Cross-Platform SDK and Software
The bundled ToupView software suite covers image acquisition, processing, measurement, and reporting. SDK packages for Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android include C/C++, C#/VB.NET, DirectShow, and TWAIN interfaces for rapid integration. Thorough documentation shortens development cycles so research teams and system integrators can deploy customized imaging solutions quickly.
Industrial-Grade Mechanical Design
CNC-machined aluminum housings employ a fanless, motionless thermal design for long-term stability. The robust metal enclosure shields electromagnetic interference and resists vibration. An IR-cut or dual AR-coated protective window prevents stray infrared light and safeguards the sensor. USB bus power simplifies deployment by combining power and data in one cable—ideal for compact or mobile setups.
