Product Introduction
The L3CMOS series features C-mount USB3.0 microscopy cameras equipped with Aptina (onsemi) high-sensitivity CMOS sensors and onboard buffer architecture. Under 5 Gbit/s USB3.0 bandwidth, these cameras achieve more stable high frame rate transmission while reducing frame loss and jitter caused by burst data. Resolution coverage spans approximately 2.2–12 MP, suitable for educational, routine scientific research, and general microscopy documentation applications.
The built-in Ultra-Fine color processing engine performs demosaicing, auto exposure/gain control, one-click white balance, and color/gamma/contrast processing on the camera side, reducing host CPU usage while delivering natural and consistent color presentation. The housing features metal (aluminum alloy) CNC precision construction for durability and reliability, while included ToupView/ToupLite software and cross-platform SDK support (Windows/Linux/macOS/Android) facilitate system integration and secondary development.

On-Board Large Capacity Buffer Technology
Built-in on-board large capacity buffer chip enables synchronized data transfer and stable high frame rate image output. Buffer technology effectively prevents image data loss or stuttering, ensuring data integrity during high-speed continuous shooting. Even when processing large amounts of image data, it maintains smooth real-time preview and stable image acquisition, particularly suitable for recording dynamic processes requiring long-term continuous observation.
USB 3.0 Ultra-High Speed Data Transfer
Equipped with high-speed USB 3.0 interface, providing up to 5 Gbps data transfer bandwidth, ensuring fast and stable real-time video transmission. Compared to USB 2.0 interface, transfer speed is improved by more than 10×, fully leveraging the performance advantages of high-resolution sensors. Select models achieve 50 fps high frame rates at full resolution, and through ROI cropping mode can achieve even higher frame rate performance, meeting the precise capture requirements of high-speed dynamic processes.
Precise Ultra-Fine Color Engine
Built-in advanced Ultra-Fine image processing technology uses optimized color algorithms to precisely reproduce true colors, significantly enhancing image detail and color performance. This engine not only ensures color accuracy but also effectively enhances image contrast and clarity, making minute sample details more clearly visible. Particularly suitable for professional applications with extremely high requirements for color accuracy and detail performance, such as pathological diagnosis and material analysis.
