IUD Series

Product Introduction

The IUD series features onsemi high-performance global shutter CMOS sensors, offering 16 MP and 25 MP resolutions with corresponding 1.8″ and 2.04″ large formats. The cameras deliver excellent near-infrared (NIR) response and capture blur-free images in high-speed motion scenarios. Utilizing USB 3.0 high-speed connectivity for stable transmission, the series supports an ultra-wide exposure range from 1 µs to 60 s, hardware binning, 2 digital inputs, and 3 digital outputs for coordination with external triggers, light sources, and motion platforms.

The compact body design with optimized power consumption enables operation through single USB 3.0 power supply (model-dependent), making it suitable for space-constrained equipment integration. Complete with multi-platform SDK (Windows / Linux / macOS / Android) and ToupView, the series serves industrial inspection, scientific imaging, machine vision, OCT ophthalmic imaging, and NIR industrial detection applications.

In-depth Product Overview

High-resolution large-format imaging

Available in 16 MP and 25 MP variants, the 1.8" and 2.04" CMOS sensors with 4.5 µm pixels deliver rich detail and sensitivity. Dynamic range reaches 59 dB with a 41 dB SNR on the 25 MP model, while dark current stays as low as 3.9 e⁻/s at 20 °C, enabling long-exposure inspection tasks.

Global shutter with NIR enhancement

Global shutter capture eliminates motion blur, and dedicated NIR optimization improves quantum efficiency in near-infrared wavelengths. Exposure spans 1 µs to 60 s, while frame rates reach 22.5 fps (16 MP) and 14.8 fps (25 MP), supporting both dynamic and static applications.

Flexible hardware binning

Hardware binning options—1×1, 2×2, and 3×3—balance resolution and sensitivity. Output formats include 8-bit and 12-bit data, and gain can be adjusted from 1× to 50× to match varied imaging scenarios.

Industrial integration capabilities

Two non-isolated inputs and three non-isolated outputs support coordination with industrial control systems. USB 3.0 (USB 3.1 Gen 1) provides single-cable power and data, backed by ToupView software and full SDKs. The 59×59×27.2 mm metal body keeps power consumption low and operates from -10 to 50 °C for continuous operation.

Cross-platform development support

SDKs for Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android include APIs for C/C++, C#/VB.NET, Python, and more, delivering rapid integration. Combined with extensive digital I/O and the cross-platform SDK suite, the IUD Series accelerates deployment in automation and research systems.
