The AFDM512 Series features Sony IMX415 high-performance CMOS sensor with HDMI2.0 support for 4K/60 fps output and low latency ≈40 ms. AFDM512 In-depth Overview
The AFDM512 series is the long working distance version of AFDM511, using the same Sony IMX415 4K STARVIS sensor and motorized continuous zoom architecture, optimized for large samples and wider operating space. It includes an 18× motorized continuous zoom lens with two standard working distances: AFDM512A (standard 250 mm, range 205–255 mm) and AFDM512B (standard 640 mm, range 400–670 mm).
Fields of view are broad: AFDM512A low magnification 255 mm × 145 mm, high magnification 14.2 mm × 8 mm; AFDM512B low magnification 655.8 mm × 368.9 mm, high magnification 36.4 mm × 20.5 mm. Low magnification speeds positioning while high magnification supports detailed microscopy.
The system supports HDMI 2.0 4K@60 fps (low latency) and USB 3.0/Ethernet up to 4K@30 fps output; built-in XCamView enables autofocus, measurement, image stitching, and (real-time) depth fusion; supports USB voice control modules and automatic upload of captured files to a server. Optional magnetic LED ring light with camera-controlled brightness; default calibration data is provided for accurate measurement.
